Purpurite Wire Wrapped Pendant
A beautiful Purpurite stone that is super dark, almost black, but flashes of purple in the light. Simply wrapped in tarnish-resistant pure copper wire.
Purpurite is a mineral with varying amounts of iron. It can range from brownish-black to violet to dark red. First discovered in 1905, the best-known specimens come from Namibia, France, Western Australia, and North Carolina.
Raw copper and even plated or filled metals can tarnish or oxidize over time. Your purchase will include a cleaning cloth that can be used to clean the metallic surfaces. Oxidized copper or silver can develop a beautiful antiqued patina over time.
